Welcome to NVE conference 7th JNVE Conference | 22nd and 23th of October – NVE congres

The JNVE conference will take place at the Van der Valk Hotel Nijmegen-Lent on Thursday October 22nd and Friday October 23rd. The conference will offer a varied programme with special focus on the artificial pancreas (by Dr. Arianne van Bon and Robin Koops), pitfalls in lab measurements (by Dr. Ir. Jacquelien Hillebrand), brown adipose tissue (by Dr. Mariette Boon), and adrenal steroid biosynthesis and metabolism (Dr. Lina Schiffer). We will additionally take a step back from science itself, and focus on the medical ethics of human research, with a talk by Dr. Martine de Vries on the distinction between care and research
There will be sessions for participants to present their newest work, including a session specifically focused on interesting case-reports. During this meeting, the JNVE Award will be awarded to the best young speaker.

VAN DER VALK HOTEL NIJMEGEN-LENT

Hertog Eduardplein 4, 6663AN, Nijmegen, The Netherlands

The JNVE conference will take place in the beautiful city of Nijmegen. The venue will be the brand new ‘van der Valk Hotel Nijmegen-Lent’, which was awarded the best hotel of the Netherlands 2018. The hotel is perfectly accessible via the motorways (A15, A50 and A325) and by public transportation, either by train directly at Nijmegen Lent station (between Nijmegen and Arnhem central station) or by bus from Nijmegen or Arnhem central station.

Information about hotel rooms and arrival/starting times will be communicated shortly before the conference.
